JUNGLE CHARACTERS COSTUMES:
ZEBRA: Faith A, Katelyn M, Brooke P, Megan T.
We have zebra shirts and will be making ears and tails. Please bring in a pair of inexpensive black leggings. We will be painting white stripes on them to match the tops. Be sure to put your daughter’s name on the pants. They will also need a black long sleeve shirt for under the zebra top.
GIRAFFE: Sarah H, Erin M, Bridget S, Zoe W.
We are making Giraffe fabric wrap dresses, tails and ears/horns. Please buy a brown long sleeve shirt and brown leggings to wear under the dress.
PANTHER: Haleigh C, Corinne K, Olivia L.
We will be making black skirts, tails and ears for the panthers. Please buy a black long sleeve top or leotard and black leggings
CHEETA: Lindsey D, Lexi G, Cheyanne G.
We have pants and sleeveless shirts for the cheetas. We will make ears and tails. Please buy a long sleeve brown shirt or leotard to be worn under the outfit.
TIGER: Mariessa M, Sofia M, Melanie T, Claire B.
We will be making a skirt and shirt in tiger stripe material. Please buy black leggings and a long sleeve black shirt for under the outfit.
JUNGLE BIRD: Sierra B, Caroline F, Danielle H, Brianna L, Sarah T, Beth Ann W
We have skirts, feather masks and leggings for the birds and are working on shirts and tails for them.
SNAKE: Carolyn M, Katie S, Kenna V, Abby B
We have a dress w/ a colorful snake-like pattern. They will need leggings and a shirt to match which we are working on. We will also make them a head piece.
LION: Caleb F, Colin P, Eric S, Asa W
We have fur vests, fur arm covers and are making manes and ears. Please buy a long sleeve brown shirt and brown pants to go with the vest.

Actors must have:
- Black biker or compression shorts
- Nude colored body suit
- Wear nude colored undergarments
- Tan dance tights
- Character shoes w/ no slip grips on soles
- Flat black shoes
- Black socks
- Black turtle neck
- Black pants ( jazz, yoga, thin cotton sweats, or dress pants)
Boys: may be more comfortable w/ shorts under outfits
Will need all the dark clothes for hunch dance
Shoes: light weight, no bulky tennis shoes. Dress shoes, Sperrys ,
Converse type are ok for Whos. Jungle Animals use dark shoes.

***IF USING TMC COSTUME YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. CAN NOT ALTER EXCEPT FOR HAND HEMMING AND TACKING. NO CUTTING!!
When purchasing costumes, please keep in mind that the stage lighting can be very bright, so make sure that fabrics are not see through.
Purchasing/procuring costumes are the responsibility of each cast member. All costumes are subject to the director’s approval. Do not throw out sales receipts or remove tags until costumes are approved. Buy things that are inexpensive or shop at consignment shops or on E-Bay. Always keep in mind the 20 foot rule. Imperfections that are glaringly obvious at arms length, tend to disappear on stage.
A few costumes may be provided from the Talent Machine Company. If your child uses any of these costumes:
They must be returned in the same condition as received.
You may not permanently alter any costume provided by TMC – that means no cutting of any material.
Only temporary alterations are permitted (tucks and hemming)
If the costume is damaged or lost the cast member is responsible to TMC
All costumes, once approved, and accessory pieces should be labeled with your child’s name.
We will place a bulk order for character shoes. Generally they will cost around $22. At times, we do have used shoes available for $10. Vicki requires that all shoes have slip guards placed on the soles of all dance shoes. She prefers having rubber soles added, which can be done at any shoe store such as Hakky’s at Annapolis Mall.
Girl’s under garments. All girls must wear black biker style shorts. All undergarments must be nude in color and straps should not be prominent. We recommend dance tights as they are very durable. Panty hose are ok, but they tend to last only a show or two.
